Have The Ride of Your Dreams: The World’s Coolest Limousines

Updated on October 15, 2013

Most of us agree: there is a sense of freedom when driving your car. You can go anywhere, everything’s up to you. You can drive fast or slow, you can make a stop or two; you decide! Cars are one of the greatest inventions ever; they changed the way we move from one place to another. I cannot imagine a world without cars; cities would look empty!

Limousines Signify Luxury

There are some cars, though, that can take the pleasure of transporting yourself inside a vehicle to another level: limousines. They’re big, impressive to the eye, quite overwhelming! Have you caught yourselves looking at one of these beauties downtown? We usually stare at it for a minute or so. Important people choose limousines as a means of transportation whenever they feel like it. As it concerns us, well… we can rent one of those once in our lifetime and enjoy it! For our wedding day, most likely…

The first limousine ever made was in 1902, but it looked nothing like these long ones we see today. The first “stretch limousine” was presented in 1928. Ever since then, our imagination has gone wild with them, limousines! Let’s take a look on some limousines that cannot go unnoticed, either because they look extraordinary or simply because they are quite weird and imaginative.

The Beast

I couldn’t have started elsewhere but from President Obama’s mode of transportation. The “Beast” is worth an estimated $300.000 and it can protect U.S.’s President from any presupposed biochemical attack, let’s say. It makes sense, of course, if you think of how important the president of the US is to the world, being most often regarded as the most powerful man of the moment. One more thing: “The Beast’s” doors weight as much as the cabin door of a Boeing 757! Isn’t that overwhelming!?

The Ferrari Limo

Well, a limousine with a Ferrari engine and top speed at 180mph surely stands for something spectacular, don’t you agree? It can carry up to eight passengers – those whom I can only assume that have a lot of money to invest in such an exhilarating experience! As you might very well assume, this wonderful car keeps the Ferrari tradition alive when it comes to design, not going off the well-known emblematic style of the car manufacturer. The main design line reminds us of the classy Ferrari, just that it’s … longer. If it is to ask me, I think it looks better in red – certainly! Like any other Ferrari!

The MINI Limousine

We had two MINI limousines up till this moment. The first one was presented in 2008; the MINI XXL Limo was 20 feet long and you could take a bath in your car if you felt like it! More recently, a new version that reaches 27 feet has been made. It contains a disco ball on its interior, for all of the party animals who wish to rent it for a big night out in the city. It has space for six people maximum and its price for rent is at £200 per hour. If MINI limos are too big for you and your needs, though, go ahead and check a Mini cooper 2013… this might make you happy, still!

Harley Davidson Limousine

Well, we are clearly dealing with a very peculiar limousine here; recommended obviously for all those who cannot separate their lives from their favorite motorbike, not even for a moment, the Harley Davidson Limousine is a hell of an angel! Ride on, baby! Ride with the wind!

Electric Limousine

Its name is KAZ and it hints towards a sustainable future. KAZ is a Japanese-Italian project and it cost amounts to $4 million. Its futuristic design brings in mind the Japanese spirit of innovation at its best. A great choice (if it is available for rent, that is!)… I guess it’s a bit too expensive for a mere mortal to buy one, so let’s just leave that for the aliens! They might afford to pay $4 million!

And the Longest Limousine in the World is…

Source

100 feet long, if you really want to know! It has 26 (!) wheels that are needed to carry a Jacuzzi, a swimming pool, some beds and a… helipad! As for the lucky renters, it is natural to assume that they won’t regret it! This is pure luxury at its best and it might be just the best treat to spoil yourself – if not on an everyday basis, just like a superstar, then at least once in a while, on very special occasions. And when I am thinking about all those Jacuzzis and swimming pools in the car, a breeze of summer kicks in my thoughts! For those who want to celebrate eternal summer, there is a way: just take this perfect limo for a ride! You’ll be the hottest one in town! Even if, sometimes, it is all about being heroes just for one day, it’s definitely worth it! Just like any moment of happiness!

As for myself, I have to admit: I’ve never made it inside a limousine. I remember I’ve seen one in the streets of London once. We were desperately trying to guess the identity of the owner. Some said it must have been a millionaire businessman and some others believed it must have been Madonna, as she was giving a concert in the city on the very same day. We’ve never got to know exactly whom it might have actually been inside that beautiful jewel of a car, but let me tell you something: one day, it might be me lying comfortably inside, on those cushions! Or so I wish!…
